Santa Fe—Volunteers
from the Santa Fe Equestars, including
“Miss Lilly” the pony, were all smiles
when the partners of Santa Fe Wild West
Inc, Santa Fe’s newest real
estate agency, handed them an check for $1,000 to
support the nonprofit organization’s therapeutic
riding and equine related activities.
“We greatly appreciate this generous contribution
— it couldn’t come at a better time,”
said Pippin Warfield-Hine, director of the Equestars
program at the Santa Fe Horse Park.
The donation comes as Santa Fe Equestars is preparing
for it’s 8th Annual Pumpkin Festival. This
fundraiser allows Equestars to continue to provide
services to people with special physical, emotional
and cognitive needs. |
Rosemary “Posy” Thompson, Santa Fe Wild
West’ s qualifying broker and one of the firm’s
founders noted that the Santa Fe Horse Park isn’t
very far from their office located at the corner of
West Frontage Road and Los Pinos Road in heart of La
Cienega. “We wanted to give our support to a local
organization and we know that the Equestars program
is vital to many children and adults,” she said.
The other founding partners of the company, Brian and
Amy Fairchild introduced their sons Isaiah, 4, and Aiden,
2, to Miss Lilly and said, “We are so excided
to be able to support such a wonderful program in our
community. There is truly a magical connection between
kids and horses. Teaming up with them seemed like perfect
match.”
Another “perfect match” for Santa Fe Wild
West Inc is the Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane
Society. SFWW recently donated 600 pounds of Meow Mix
to the organization and is a proud sponsor of their
annual fundraising event the “Barkin’ Ball.
Thompson pointed out that Santa Fe Wild West Inc
also has a “Pet Friendly” link on their
Web site that offers free samples of “Petzels”
from treats4pets.com. “We are true animal lovers,”
says Thompson .
Santa Fe Wild West Inc is the first real estate
firm to be located on Santa Fe’s south side and
is ready to assist clients with all of their real estate
needs. Areas of concentration include the communities
of Tierra Contenta, Vista Primera, La Cienega, La Cienegilla,
